The San Francisco 49ers and the San Diego Chargers are playing against each other for their preseason finales in Week 4 and on Saturday the 53-man rosters for all 32 teams and the Niners will be set for Week 1 of the regular season.

The 49ers have a tough opening schedule with the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks in their first two games and the Chargers matchup in the preseason comes after winning their last two games. The Niners opened the preseason with a loss to the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning and then travelled to play the Chiefs and won, which came before the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 and the Niners also won that game 34-14. The Chargers are looking to get back into a groove after missing the playoffs and the 49ers are trying to get back to the Super Bowl for the second season in a row.

The Niners play the Colts after the Seahawks in Week 2 and in Week 4 they will play at the St. Louis Rams, a team that did not lose to them last year. The Houston Texans will be a tough team again and the Arizona Cardinals are on the schedule after that. Colin Kaepernick will be the primary starter this year after taking the job away from Alex Smith last season and with a full offseason under his belt as the number one he could be even better than last season and last season he was fantastic, especially against the Packers in the playoffs.

The team plays the Carolina Panthers out of their bye week in Week 9 and then they will travel to New Orleans to play the Saints and then play the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. The Rams are in Week 13 again and the the Seahawks will come to town for their second game of the year. An east coast trip for the Buccaneers is in store before playing the Falcons again and then they will finish with a road game against the Cardinals.
