The Denver Broncos are 4-0 this season and one of the main reasons for their amazing offensive success this early is the play of quarterback Peyton Manning, who has set records with his stats through the first four games of the 2013 season.
Manning started off 2013 with a bang, tossing seven touchdowns in Week 1 in a victory over the Ravens and since then he has been just as good, throwing multiple touchdowns in every game this season. Manning set the record for TD passes through four games this season with 16 and he has yet to toss an interception and on top of that, he has been extremely productive, passing for over 300 yards in all four games.
Manning leads the league in touchdown passes, yards passing, completion percentage as well as quarterback rating and he is showing no signs of slowing down at all. Manning threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns last week against the Eagles and he could get even better, as he has worked with some of his receivers like Wes Welker for just a few months and things could get even more comfortable between the two as the season goes on.
This just shows exactly why the team made the move it did with Tim Tebow two years ago. Tebow was an exciting player for the team and even though he led the Broncos to a division title and an AFC playoff victory, he clearly was not a quarterback that was going to lead the team to the Super Bowl, so when John Elway saw his opportunity, he took it. No one would ever argue that Manning wasn't worth going after, not even the Tebow crazies who wanted the Broncos to keep the QB.
The Jaguars now are a team dealing with crazy fans, as one flew a sign over the weekend asking to sign Tebow, while others have held rallies to try and get the team to do it since they are so bad. The Jags so far aren't listening. The Broncos made a genius move of trading Tebow to the Jets, as that turned out to be a disaster and now they are sitting pretty as the best team in the NFL right now, especially when looking at the offense.
