Cardinals, Red Sox TV Schedule: Channel, Time, Radio Coverage of Game 1 of the World Series

Oct 23, 2013 12:11 PM EDT

The 2013 World Series is here and the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox meet in Game 1. Here is all the information regarding Game 1 coverage, including radio coverage and TV channel. This World Series should be a good one as the two top teams in baseball play for the championship.

Time: 7:30 p.m. ET

TV Channel- Where to Watch?: FOX

Radio Coverage: ESPN Radio

The Red Sox discarded of the Tampa Bay Rays in four games, followed by a 4-2 series victory over the Detroit Tigers. They were two different teams in both series. First, against the Rays, the Red Sox would not stay off base. Jacoby Ellsbury and Shane Victorino were always on base and David Ortiz was hitting consistently. Against the Tigers, Mike Napoli was the hero. He finished with a batting average over .300, hitting two huge home runs in Games 3 and 5. Victorino and Ortiz were not consistent, but the Red Sox's veterans came through in the clutch.

Clutch is something the Cardinals needed throughout the playoffs, with the exception of Games 1 & 5 of the NLDS against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Game 6 to close out the NLCS in Game 6 against the Dodgers. Since then, every other victory has been dramatic. It was Carlos Beltran providing the pop in the first series and then it took a team effort to close the door on a scrappy Dodgers team dealing with injuries.

Game 1 is crucial and both teams have done a great job jumping out in front in their first two series. The Red Sox fell behind 0-1 in the series, but they followed this up with consecutive victories, never letting the Tigers take a lead in the series. The Cardinals won both Game 1's they have played in thanks to Adam Wainwright, who will be taking the mound tonight.

You can listen to the action on the radio if you are not a huge Tim McCarver fan or you can watch the game and place your TV on mute. This series should be dramatic based on both teams' performances in the first two series. The Red Sox have needed late-inning drama, while the Cardinals' pitching has viewers at the edge of their seats.

Regardless, you are listening or watching, it should be a great World Series.
