Manchester United is coming into their UEFA Champions League match against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford on Tuesday in the first phase of play and they come into the day after a draw against Southampton in Premier League play, which came after a 2-1 win over Sunderland and the match will start up at 2:45 PM.
Manchester United has been off to a tough start this year in the Premier League after winning it last season and Jonny Evans said to reporters that the club needs to pull together to pull out of the bottom of the standings, where they are in eighth place in the division and even tougher, they have won only once in four matches during that span. The club now will try and rebound against Real Sociedad in Champions League play just to get back on track in general and the La Liga team will be bringing it all in the away matchup. Wayne Rooney is leading United with two goals and they currently have four points after two matches in the Champions League and they have scored two goals while allowing three in those matches.

During Tuesday play, Arsenal lost in their Champions League match 2-1 against Borussia Dortmund, while Chelsea was able to get past Schalke 3-0 in their match after an explosion from Fernando Torres. Carlos Vela is leading Real in scoring with one goal scored and Rooney is tied with Antonio Valencia and Patrice Evra for assists so far. United has 11 points through the start in the Premier League and their next two games in that level will be against Stoke City and Fulham with Norwich City in between in round 4 of the Capital One Cup and then the team has another match later in the second leg with Real Sociedad. The schedule after that is tough with Arsenal and then they will have Cardiff City and then against Bayer Leverkusen away.
Manchester is coming into the match on the heels of a book by Sir Alex Ferguson and some of the news was about Rooney and his time under the manager, including some excerpts about how he had issues coming back from injuries and that had a "natural instinct" for the game. By the end of things him and Rooney were not on the best of terms and he also wrote about Cristiano Ronaldo and Roy Keane, who had some of his own words about it afterwards. There were some choice words written about Keane and he responded in kind and Ferguson also wrote about David Beckham and his time there.
The match on Wednesday should be an entertaining one and starts at 2:45 pm with Manchester United hosting Real Sociedad at Old Trafford in a UEFA Champions League first phase match.
