Miami Heat vs. New Orleans Pelicans Live Stream: NBA Preseason Game Online Coverage

Oct 23, 2013 08:07 PM EDT

The New Orleans Pelicans have been one of the best teams in the NBA preseason and they are 6-0 this year and they will put that to the test on Wednesday night against the Miami Heat at New Orleans Arena and will start up at 8:00 PM and while the game won't be live on TV, it will be on local radio on WWL 105.3FM, which has a live stream link below in the article.

The Pelicans are coming into the season with very high expectations after pulling off the trades for Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday and with Eric Gordon coming back healthy with Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers, the team should have some prime talent heading into the year. The team won just 27 games last season, but they could have a fast turnaround after making those deals and while the west is very tough with the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, they could slide into one of the bottom half seeds.

The Pelicans traded Nerlens Noel after taking him number six for Holiday and now that he is out for the season that is looking like a good move and they come in after averaging just 94 points per game last season while ranking 14th in the league in points allowed and they also were 17th in rebounds per game. The team is taking on a 4-2 Miami squad that is coming off two titles and they have a 6-0 undefeated record in the preseason that will be on the line. The Pelicans opened up the preseason against the Houston Rockets on the road and took down Dwight Howard's new team by one and that game was at the Toyota Center.

The team won three straight close games on the road to start the preseason with wins against the Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and then against the Orlando Magic and that came before a blowout victory at home against the Atlanta Hawks. The Oklahoma City Thunder came next and that was another close three point win and now the team comes into the Miami game after winning 93-89 against the Washington Wizards on Saturday. The final game of the preseason will be against the Orlando Magic on the road and then the team starts up the regular season schedule.

The first game for the Pelicans of the season comes against the Indiana Pacers at home and then the team goes on the road against the Orlando Magic. The schedule isn't too tough to start with the Bobcats next and then the team plays the Phoenix Suns, Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies. After that they will play the Lakers in LA and then against the Jazz before returning home against the Sixers in what will be the first game for Holiday against his old team.
