Monday Night Football Results Score 14-9: Seattle Seahawks Win ON MNF Over St. Louis Rams and Improves To 7-1 Record For 2013 Season

The Seahawks won over the St. Louis Rams on Monday night football on ESPN, improving to 7-1 as Seattle took the victory 14-9 in a sloppy game at the Edward Jones Dome.

The Monday night football matchup on ESPN for the Week 8 game on the schedule puts St. Louis at the center of the sports universe, as the Seattle Seahawks visit the Edward Jones Dome to play the Rams live at 8:30 pm and they will kickoff just after the Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox play nearby at Busch Stadium for World Series Game 5 as the series is tied 2-2.

The Seahawks and Rams come into the game going in opposite directions, as the Seahawks have won two in a row and have only one loss this season, while St. Louis is under .500 now and lost their starting quarterback for the year in Sam Bradford. Many Rams fans and coach Jeff Fisher had high hopes for this season, but now most of that is gone and the future of Sam Bradford is up in the air now after the injury, which is one he also had in college. The injury also makes many wonder what might have been had the Rams taken Robert Griffin III with their number two pick two years ago, but now no one will ever know and in Week 8 the Seahawks are coming to town and for Fisher, the past is the past.

The Rams come in after a terrible loss to the Carolina Panthers and now they host the Seahawks before playing against Jeff Fisher's old team in the Titans and after they come to town, St. Louis heads to Indy for a game against the Colts. The Rams started off the season tough with a 1-3 record, but they were able to claw back with wins over Houston and Jacksonville, but after losing Bradford, things fell apart against the Panthers and now they may have a tough time at cracking .500 even. The team has games in the second half against the Chicago Bears as well as another against the Seattle Seahawks and the toughest will be against the 49ers and the New Orleans Saints.

Russell Wilson has been a great leader for the Seahawks and now the Rams must try to rebound after losing Bradford and their best players on offense in no order are now Jared Cook, Zac Stacy, Chris Givens, Tavon Austin and Daryl Richardson and they will need Kellen Clemens to step up big to have any success this season and that could be very tough. The Seahawks come in to finish a stretch of four road games in five weeks and now they start up another one of two games in three weeks. The team has a tough time since they are located in the Pacific Northwest and they will host the Buccaneers next before playing the Atlanta Falcons on the road for an NFC South game and that will be at the Georgia Dome.

The Seahawks have the rest of their season split up into a quick stretch and then some tough games, as they come out of the bye week gangbusters with the New Orleans Saints on Monday night football. That has potential to be one of the best games on the NFL schedule this season and after that they have two straight road games, including one against the San Francisco 49ers and then against the Giants and that will be an east coast matchup, which is always hard for west coast teams. The finish to the schedule has more divisional games and that could help the team win the NFC West, as they play the Cards and Rams at home. The game on Monday night football will be up against the Rams in St. Louis on ESPN kicking off at 8:30 pm.
