The Miami Heat will start the NBA season on Tuesday night with a game against the Chicago Bulls on TNT and that will be the first national game of the season and comes as the first of a doubleheader with the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the LA Clippers at the Staples Center and the Clips will start out as the home team and that will be on after the Hear starting at 8 pm.
The game for Miami and Chicago will be on locally on TV and on the radio and the game will be streaming online from the NBA website for the TNT coverage. TNT often has the best studio show and the Miami Heat will be raising their championship banners and the Bulls will be motivated to try and spoil the party, which is exactly what the Heat did back a few years ago when the Dallas Mavericks won the title over them and the following the season they opened with a big win on the road and the team is working on not letting the Chicago Bulls pull that one on Tuesday.
Chris bosh said the team is ready for the Bulls and with derrick Rose coming back from his knee surgery and looking stronger than ever, they will be ready to take them on. The Heat are obviously looking for their third straight championship and fourth finals appearance in as many years and all the teams in the East will be looking to take them down, including the Bulls. The Heat return most of their roster apart from Mike Miller and they now have added Greg Oden to the mix with veterans like Ray Allen and Chris Andersen in the fold.
The team was one of the most consistent in the league last season on offense and defense, ranking in the top five in both scoring averages and now they have a huge amount of pressure as they try to get back to win another title. The team has the entire east chasing them and until someone wins out over them, Miami will be the team to beat in the conference. The west is a bit deeper with teams like the Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder as well as the Los Angeles Clippers and those teams will battle out for the chance to try and dethrone the Heat.
The team opens the season at home against the Bulls at the American Airlines Arena and the game will be the first to be nationally televised of the NBA season and will start up at 8 pm. The Bulls will next play against the New York Knicks after this game on Thursday at Madison Square Garden, while the Miami Heat will have an easier time heading to Philadelphia to play against the Sixers.
