The fantasy football schedule is now over and with Week 12 coming up on Thursday, owners will be looking for some of the best names to pick up and snag as free agents for the playoffs and some options that could be big helps going forwards includes names like Brandon Jacobs, Chris Ogbonnaya, Jerricho Cotchery and Darrel Young as well as Brandon LaFell.
The Giants are coming off of their fourth straight win and they have been doing it lately while rushing the ball and that makes Jacobs a solid option going forward, as he has been one of the most consistent players for the Giants when healthy. Jacobs had just five carries in the game, but he scored his third touchdown over the past two weeks and anyone looking for some scoring help could use him as a pick up. This season he has been solid for the Giants with 163 yards and he last played a big game against the Bears with 22 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns and even though Andre Brown is the feature back, Jacobs will get some goal line opportunities.
Ogbonnaya was a sleeper a few weeks ago before falling off pretty good, but he has been playing better over the past few games and has been a factor out of the backfield as well with six catches for 30 yards last week. Ogbonnaya put up over 90 total yards in the game against the Bengals and he was tops in carries and rushing yards for the team, which is a good sign going forward for him. He had a season high in total years and with the Steelers coming next week, he likely will continue getting carries over Willis McGahee.
Ogbonnaya finished the day with eight carries for 69 yards and averaged over eight yards per carry while having a long run of over 40 yards and he came through with six catches for PPR owners and that makes 14 over the past three weeks and 21 over the past five games. This season he has been impressive out of the backfield, making 34 catches for 237 yards and he should be a solid option heading down the rest of the schedule. Ogbonnaya was also second on the team in targets and that is promising as well.
Cotchery has been the most consistent receiver for the Steelers this season and he finished Sunday with five catches for 48 yards and he has continued to be the top target for Ben Roethlisberger. This season he has 34 catches for over 500 yards and impressive seven touchdowns to rank in the top 10 in the league and over the last three weeks he has 12 catches and should be solid the rest of the way. Darrel Young is a boom or bust player and he has boomed a bit in recent weeks, scoring three touchdowns against San Diego two weeks ago and he also had one catch for over 60 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, which came on a great catch.
