Seattle Seahawks TV Schedule: New Orleans Saints Start Time and ESPN Channel For Monday Night Football Game

Dec 02, 2013 04:15 PM EST

The Seattle Seahawks are playing on TV for Monday night football on ESPN and the game against the New Orleans Saints starts up at 8:30 pm and the matchup has plenty on the line and each team will try and click at the right time as they try and get a victory in Week 13 at CenturyLink field and the game will be streaming on the WatchESPN website.

The game between Seattle and New Orleans will likely decide home field advantage and that is a big deal for these two teams, as they play much better in their friendly confines then they do on the road. Russell Wilson is undefeated as starter at CenturyLink Field and Drew Brees puts up much better completion numbers, touchdowns and interceptions when he plays on the home dome turf of the Superdome.

The Seahawks are coming into the game on a six game winning streak, while the Saints are on a three game winning streak and both defenses have been playing very well against the pass and that could play into Seattle's hands on Monday night. The Seahawks are ranked first in the league in passing yards allowed per game while the Saints are in the top part of the league in passing yards, meaning Monday will be a matchup of strength against strength. Marshawn Lynch leads the way for the best rushing attack in the NFL, while Richard Sherman will be the man focus of the defense. Sherman is the best cover corner in the league and he will need to show that on Monday, as the Seahawks arte down two men with Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond out for the game.

The Seahawks came out of nowhere last season and made the playoffs on the strength of their defense and an explosive offense and that was enough to defeat the Washington Redskins before losing on the road to the Atlanta Falcons. Many projected the Seahawks and 49ers as the top teams in the NFC let alone their division and it looks like those two teams, along with the New Orleans Saints, will be fighting for home field advantage. The NFC north looks to be a pretty strong division this season with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears at the top and the Green Bay Packers are a team that should be there at the end as well.

The Seahawks love that they have Harvin locked up for the long term, but they know that Super Bowl chances don't happen every year and they are hoping he can return at some point to contribute to the team, as they already have an edge in the NFC west division race after defeating the 49ers.

The Seahawks finish the season with a tough stretch coming out of their bye, as they play the Saints in a Monday Night Football matchup that could decide home field in the conference and then they have a game the next week against the 49ers that could decide the division. The team then finishes with an east coast trip to the Giants before ending at home with the Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams.
