Woods has 14 career majors and he has not won one for quite some time and he said that he feels ready to break through next year, especially because he won the Open Championship played at Royal Liverpool the last time they had it there and he also had a victory at where the PGA championships will be in 2014. Woods is ranked number one in the world and the way he played this season means he likely will remain there for quite some time and while he had a great season on tour, he hasn't won since back in the summer at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and now he will try and win again this weekend. Woods spoke about playing better in some the major tournaments this past year and he said that he is excited to get back into things as they pick up in 2014.

After finishing this tournament Woods likely will next play in January at the Farmers Insurance Open and then at the Dubai Desert Classic and around that time his girlfriend will be in Sochi for the Olympics. Lindsey Vonn is dealing with an injury and he is expected to visit her if she makes it, as she has been to a number of his tournaments this year. According to ESPN.com, if Woods did travel to the Olympics he would miss the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the Northern Trust Open at Riviera, tournaments that he does not usually play anyway.
