The Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys both are in the thick of the playoff race in the NFC and on Monday Night Football in Week 14 each team will be looking for a win and the matchup starts on ESPN live at 8:30 pm and will be streaming live online from WatchESPN from Soldier Field.
The NFL schedule had plenty of snow to deal with on Sunday and the weather is expected to be bitter and cold on Monday night as the two teams take the field. The Bears are in the middle of a stretch of four games on the road in five weeks and the MNF matchup is their lone home game in the middle of it and players like Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery will be expected to perform well. The Bears are coming in after a loss but the offense was exceptional in the game with Josh McCown tossing for over 350 yards and the Cowboys have the weakest secondary in the league and that could mean some high scoring on both sides, as Alshon Jeffery comes in after his team record performance with nearly 250 yards last week and he could be a nightmare to cover for Dallas.

The Bears are still in good position to make a playoff run and that is because the division leaders in the NFC north in the Detroit Lions lost a tough and snow filled game on Sunday to the a Eagles on the road. Chicago can take advantage with a win on Monday night against the Cowboys and they need it, as the Green Bay Packers also won on Sunday in the snow and with a tie on their record they remain in the mix for the division title and in the wild card race. Things could take a crazy turn if Aaron Rodgers comes back from his injury and if the Packers win again next week, that is nearly a guarantee as long as he is healthy and that puts the Bears on notice on Monday night.
Jeffery and Marshall have been two of the most productive players in the NFL this season and no WR duo has as many yards as they do and if the Cowboys cannot contain the wideouts, it could be a long night for Montee Kiffin and his defense. McCown has been excellent for the Bears since taking over for Cutler with him injured, as he has 1,461 yards and nine touchdowns with a solid completion percentage, while Jeffery has 70 catches for 1,109 yards and five scores and Marshall is right there with him with 78 catches for nearly 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns for himself.
The NFC North is still up for grabs, but the Bears need a win on Sunday to get even once again with the Lions and they need to finish strong, as they have lost twice to the Lions already this season. The team ends the year with the Green Bay Packers and that could have huge playoff implications. The Cowboys need this game as well on Monday night with the Eagles winning against the Lions and they finish with games against the Packers, Redskins and Eagles, so all these teams have a ton on the line as the final few weeks play out.
