Seattle Seahawks Rumors: Percy Harvin Could Miss Week 17 and Playoffs, Super Bowl Odds Best With Win Against Rams Sunday

The Seattle Seahawks are still considered the Super Bowl favorite out of the NFC despite losing their first home game oi two seasons on Sunday to the Arizona Cardinals, but things could be much tougher in the postseason if the team is without star wide receiver Percy Harvin and that would be the case, as his hip may place him on the IR heading into week 17 and the playoffs.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Seahawks could be without Harvin for their playoff run this season, as he could be placed on IR after his hip has acted up again. The Seahawks will need to make a move of some kind when they get Walter Thurmond back from his suspension and this would enable the team to do it without getting rid of someone and that will mean a lot for depth heading into the playoffs. Losing Harvin hurts with Sidney Rice already out, but he has been off the field all season and the Seahawks have still been the best team in the NFL and now they have an important game to win on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams to ensure that the team gets the number one seed.

The team could be without Russell Okung after he got banged up and Harvin will definitely be out for the game on Sunday after missing practice and that will give Russell Wilson and company the chance to play another big game without him. The Seahawks have been one of the most consistent teams in the league this season and the team is ranked first in the league in passing yards per game and they are also ranked fourth in rushing yards per game behind a strong season from Marshawn Lynch.

The Seahawks lost their first game at home under Russell Wilson and that was to the Cardinals, a team they previously beat 58-0 last season and a victory will clinch home field for the playoffs. The team has lost two of three games for the first time this season and before that loss to the 49ers the team won seven games in a row and now they have a chance to end the season with a win at home against the Rams.
