The Super Bowl in 2014 was a total one sided affair and the Seattle Seahawks ended up on top over the Denver Broncos after a dominating defensive performance and Malcolm Smith was named MVP of the game after making an interception return for a touchdown and he added a fumble recovery as well as the NFC won back the Lombardi Trophy from the Baltimore Ravens.

--Malcolm Smith wins MVP award: Russell Wilson and Percy Harvin had arguments to win the award, but it was all Smith after he had an interception return for a touchdown and a crucial fumble recovery on Demaryius Thomas that helped seal the game basically. Wilson ended up with 206 yards and two touchdowns, while Harvin finished with an 87 yard kickoff return and 45 yards rushing.
--Seahawks defense dominated: The Broncos couldn't get anything done and the team ended up scoring just eight points in the game and in the matchup of number one offensive and defensive units, it was the D that won out.
--Russell Wilson is a champion in his second season: Wilson joins Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger and Kurt Warner as players to have won the Super Bowl in their first or second seasons.
