Tottenham Hotspur and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk are set to play their Europa League second round match on Thursday and it will be at Dnipro Arena at 1 pm ET and UEFA says that despite the unrest in Ukraine, the match will go on as scheduled for the Spurs and this comes as the team won over Newcastle in their last Premier League match and the Europa is streaming from Fox Soccer 2Go.
The Spurs have been playing well and they won their last two matches out in the EPL and that came after a draw with Hull City and an embarrassing loss at home against Manchester City and that was at White Hart Lane. The two teams will play again at the end of the month next week at White Hart Lane and in between the Spurs play on the road against Norwich and that match will be at Carrow Road and this next stretch is very important for the spurs as they try to remain in contention in the Premier League.
Tottenham has some tough matches coming up on the schedule after playing in the Europa League, as they have to go and visit Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and that comes before a match at White Hart Lane against Arsenal. The team also will visit Liverpool at the Anfield and that is another top team they will need to play, while other matches against Aston Villa, Sunderland as well as Fulham and Southampton arte coming up as well.
Emmanuel Adebayor will not be in the lineup for Tim Sherwood and the team is ready to play and while the whole first lineup will not be in, it doesn't mean the Spurs aren't taking the match seriously. The team is looking to try and get things on track heading into the final stretch of the season and while he is looking at a Champions League berth from the Premier League, a Europa win would not be bad either.
Chelsea is leading the English Premier League table heading into the weekend and Tottenham is currently in fifth position over Everton and that gives them Europa League qualifying and they would love to clinch a UCL spot or at least the Champions League qualifying spot in fourth and they have a tough task with the teams ahead. Tottenham is behind Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City on the table and Liverpool is in fourth over the Spurs, who are up over Everton and Manchester United. The EPL schedule will be tough the rest of the way and all four teams could be in the mix for the title.
