USA vs. Canada Score: Canada Wins Over United States For Hockey Olympics Semifinals Men's US Game Into Finals Against Sweden

The USA and Canada matchup started off slow with a score at 0-0 through the first period and the men's semifinals matchup is also on a radio stream Friday live from Sochi and the two teams are looking to advance to the gold medal game and that will be against Sweden after they defeated Finland in their matchup and this will be a hard fought game from two of the best teams in the tournament.

The two teams come in looking for gold after playing against each other in the gold medal game last time around in Vancouver and the Canadians won that matchup, winning in overtime. The United States has been playing very well this tournament and Jonathan Quick has been excellent in net and they are considered the favorite slightly heading into the game. The Canadians will be without John Tavares after he injured his knee and now they have the chance to advance to the finals for the second time in a row.

The Canadian women won over the US in overtime for the gold medal on Thursday in dramatic fashion and now these two teams matchup with tons of NHL players on both sides. Sidney Crosby is key for Team Canada and the US has their goalie playing well in Quick and the team has also gotten some great play from Dustin Brown. The first period has been back and forth in the semifinals and Canada led the game n shots with 15-10 late in the first and Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Ryan Kessler, Shea Weber and Ryan Suter have all been playing hard and the two sides are looking to take advantage heading into the second part of the game.

The US comes into it as the second seed after Sweden took the top seed in the previous round and it comes after the team scored a ton in the first round and they also added five on the Czechs in the quarters and had a seven goal game and they also pulled out a matchup with Russia. The home team was sent home after losing to Finland and now Sweden comes in looking to win their second gold medal in three Games after taking it in 2006 and they have a great goalie in Henrik Lundqvist as well.
