49ers Trade Rumors: Jim Harbaugh Cleveland Browns Deal For Draft Picks Didn't Interest San Francisco Says Owner Jed York

The 49ers and Cleveland Browns got involved in a trade story report this weekend after news came out that the Browns inquired with San Francisco about the possibility of trading for head coach Jim Harbaugh and after some back and forth in the media, owner Jed York came out to say that the Niners did not find any interest in that deal.

The original report came out over the weekend and according to ESPN.com, the Browns and the 49ers discussed a possible trade move that would have saw draft picks head to the coast for the head coach. After the story broke all sides started scrambling a bit and now that the news is out there, the Niners have moved back a bit and acknowledged that it was brought up, with York saying that the talks never got far at all and that the team was not interested in making the move.

The move brings up some interesting questions and Mike Sando from ESPN.com and others have written that the relationship between Harbaugh and GM Trent Baalke is not a great one and that the two butt heads a lot and also that Harbaugh is looking to become the highest paid head coach in the league.

Harbaugh denied the report last week and this news comes after he has taken the team to three straight NFC championship games and one Super Bowl. Harbaugh is originally from Ohio and that could have been the nexus of the move, while the Browns themselves now have a new head coach in Mike Pettine, although they looked far and wide before making that move.

"We want Jim to be our head coach, and we've said that very clearly," York told the paper.
