The national teams of Russia and Armenia are playing an international friendly at 9 am on Wednesday and they are on the schedule with Georgia, Philippines, United States, Lithuania, England and Italy among many others and the match is streaming online at 9 am ET and comes live from Kuban Stadium and comes with less than 100 days until the World Cup in Brazil for 2014.
Russia comes into the game after their nation just hosted a huge event in the winter Olympics in Sochi and this match is the first on the schedule on Wednesday with kickoff coming at the same time as Georgia and
Lichtenstein and that will be live from Boris Paichadze Stadium. Russia comes into the day as their nation has stirred up some controversy and it affects the United States, as the national team is getting ready to play against Ukraine and that game was moved to Cyprus to ensure the safety of the players with all the unrest going there.
Some of the other games on the schedule include Finland taking on Hungary, while Norway plays against the Czech Republic and one of the best matchups is England and Denmark, while Spain and Italy are playing each other in another top match. Some of the other teams in play includes Portugal, Switzerland, Chile, Ivory Coast, Turkey as well as Cyprus and Colombia. The last friendlies came during February and some of the results had the United States winning over South Korea, while Mexico defeated the SK team and Chile won over Costa Rica. The friendlies are very important as it gets closer to the Cup, as teams and coaches can test out players and lineups for the main tournament.
The World Cup starts this summer in Brazil and Russia has the Group H matchups to look forward to and that means games against Belgium, South Korea and Algeria and that is one of the better groups to be in. The US has the group of death and Russian starts off with a game in Cuiaba against Korea and that leads into their next game against Belgium and that will be in Rio De Janeiro, while the final group matchup will be against Algeria and that will be in Curitiba.
