The World Cup is getting much closer and it is within the 100 day period and it is counting down to Rio and Greece comes in after having won out in Group Stage 2014 UEFA qualifying and they played another friendly against Switzerland last month and finished with a draw and now they play against South Korea. Greece has played against a number of tough teams leading into the World Cup and they won three matches in a row over qualifying to finish things off and now they have the chance to play another friendly match.

South Korea lost their last two friendly matches and those came against the United States and Mexico and the team was outscored 6-0 in those two games and before that was a loss against Russia in another friendly. The US played strong in that match and they got two goals from Chris Wondolowski, while the team now prepares to play against Ukraine and the game against Korea was an important one for the team as they try and figure out their final rosters for the Cup.

The match was the first friendly of the year for the US and Wondolowski said that he is prepared for the upcoming stretch and his two goals were key in the match and his scoring will need to be consistent in the World Cup for any chance to advance to the knockout stage. The US won its 13th straight home game in the match against South Korea and that came after the US won 16 games the year before and the Gold Cup title and they are training in Brazil and are gearing up for their match against Ukraine and then in the group of death in the World Cup.
