Liverpool is second on the league table and tied with Arsenal in points heading into the weekend and they are four back of Chelsea and are looking to pull closer after the Blues matchup with the Gunners on Saturday morning. Liverpool comes into the weekend after nice win against Manchester United and that came on the road at Old Trafford and Luis Suarez added another goal and he will be the focus on Saturday as Liverpool tries to pull ahead of Arsenal after their tough loss against Chelsea in the morning and that was a dominating performance from the start after two goals early and the Blues got scores from Eden Hazard and Oscar as well.
Liverpool can take advantage of the loss by Arsenal as they are tied in the league standings on points and they are ahead of Manchester City, who is also in action, as well as Tottenham, Everton and Manchester United, who will be playing later in the day and they are looking to get back in the mix in the EPL. Chelsea now has extended their lead on the top of the league table and they have continued to play very well and Jose Mourinho continues to have the number of Arsenal at Stamford Bridge and that has kept the team undefeated for the season at home.
Suarez has 25 goals this season and Sunderland is next on the schedule before Tottenham at home at the Anfield and they play against Manchester City at home as well before finishing up with Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are the final matches and that game against the Blues is a big one for both sides, as the Reds could be close to the top of the table by then. Cardiff City comes in after a loss to Everton and they play against Sunderland, Newcastle and Chelsea to finish the season and they could play spoiler at the end and that could make for an exciting finish.
The loss for Arsenal was very disappointing but not unexpected at Stamford Bridge and heading into the schedule on Saturday, Liverpool plays at the same time as Manchester City, who plays against Fulham, while Sunderland is playing against Norwich. Newcastle and Crystal Palace are playing as well before Manchester United and West Ham United, while Hull City and West Brom play and Everton plays against Swansea City and on Sunday Aston Villa plays Stoke City and Tottenham plays against Southampton.
