The English Premier League results and EPL table standings after Saturday has Chelsea in first after Manchester United and Liverpool won on the day and they got goals from Wayne Rooney and Luis Suarez, while the Blues dominated Arsenal with a 6-0 victory.
Chelsea started the day off with a huge win against Arsenal and the Gunners didn't have much of a chance from the start, as the Blues started off fast and ended up winning 6-0 to stay unbeaten at home this season at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool also put in six goals, including a hat trick from Luis Suarez and they won on the road against Cardiff City. The Reds have been the highest scoring team in the league and Suarez is the leading scorer in the league and that has kept the team in second position on the league table.
Everton won at home against Swansea City at Goodison Park, while Hull City shutout West Brom and that came before a dominating 5-0 win for Manchester City against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium. The team has kept up in the standings and Newcastle won over Crystal Palace, while Norwich City won over Sunderland at home at Carrow Road. The last match of the day saw Manchester United win on the road and that was a big victory for the team, as Wayne Rooney scored two goals at Upton Park. The Sunday matchups have Tottenham hosting Southampton at White Hart Lane, while West Ham United is hosting Stoke City at Upton Park.
Chelsea started off with two goals in the first 10 minutes and later on Oscar scored two goals against Arsenal and that was a big way to start the day, while Liverpool was nearly as good. Luis Suarez scored another hat trick, while Daniel Sturridge and Martin Skrtel also added goals and they have continued to be the most consistent offensive team in the league. Yaya Toure led the way for Manchester City and he added three goals and that included two penalty scores and later on in the day, Wayne Rooney added two goals for Man United.
The table now has Chelsea in the lead by four points over Liverpool and now they are up over Manchester City, while they were able to get over Arsenal after the Gunners' loss against Chelsea. The team is leading over Everton and Tottenham, while Manchester United is now in seventh place on the table after winning the match on Saturday.
