The Chicago Fire and the New York Red Bulls are playing on the MLS Schedule on Sunday and the game is streaming online from the NBC Sports Live Extra website at 3 pm ET from Toyota Park and comes before the Seattle Sounders game and has NY looking to get their first win of the season.
The Red Bulls come into the game after a draw with Colorado and that came on a 1-1 tie at home and now they hit the road for the matchup against Colorado. The game against Vancouver started the season was a tough loss on the road and that was 4-1 and now the team plays against the Fire before playing against Chivas USA at Red Bull Arena and then after that NY will travel for two games against rivals in the Montreal Impact and the DC United and that match will be at RFK Stadium. The team then plays against Philly before matching up with Columbus and FC Dallas before a stretch of solid games and they will have a return trip at home against the Chicago Fire.
There was a questionable call in the game against Colorado and Thierry Henry is leading the team with one goal so far this season and through two matchups they are down near the bottom of the league table and Houston is in first along with Columbus and Toronto and they all have six points. NY has one draw and one loss this season and just one point and now Chicago comes into the game after a 3-2 loss against Chivas to open the season and they are coming into things after a draw with the Portland Timbers and after this they will play against DC United on the road and then will return home for three of the next four matchups against Philly, Montreal, New England and Real Salt Lake.
The Fire have some added ‘fire' power coming in, as they have gotten Tottenham Hotspur player Grant Ward on a loan and the 19 year old has previously played with the Fire. The team will not have him playing just yet as he heals up from an injury, but he will be a nice addition coming towards the end of the season. The game comes before the Montreal and Seattle game and that will be at Olympic Stadium, while New England and Vancouver played to a draw on Saturday to start the schedule, while Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles ended up in a draw as well before Toronto and Colorado won games. Kansas City as defending champs won against San Jose, while Dallas won over Chivas USA.
