Everton and Crystal Palace are playing on the English Premier League match schedule on Wednesday and the game comes from Goodison Park at home for the Toffees and starts up at 2:45 pm ET with a live stream from the NBC Sports Live Extra and the matchup is a big one as the EPL season comes to a close for coach Roberto Martinez.
Everton has been playing very well as of late and they have been in the mix at the top of the league table all season and now is the chance for them to solidify their place in qualifying, as the last stretch of matches will show whether or not the team makes it into the UCL for next season. Martinez has said that the Toffees will not underestimate the team, as they saw Chelsea lose against them on the road and while this one will be in front of the home fans, the team is not taking anything for granted, especially during this hot streak.
Everton has a chance at cracking the top four and right now they are just one point back of Arsenal in the league standings after the Gunners won on Tuesday and now they have the chance to jump ahead again. The team is looking to win their seventh match in a row and they have been playing very strong as of late and this comes as they are trying to push into the top part of the Premier League with just a handful of fixtures left and now they put that on the line at Goodison Park. Everton has only been into the top four once during the EPL era and now they are trying to turn that around in 2014 and things have been very tight at the top all season, with Liverpool leading Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal down the stretch as the Reds try to win their first title in 25 years.
Everton comes into the match after another win against Sunderland and that came on the road and they won over Arsenal before that in what could be a crucial match when the final results are lined up. The team has scored seven goals and allowed just two over the past three games and before that they won 3-0 over Newcastle and also against Swansea and Cardiff City in the games before that. The last time the team lost overall was in the FA Cup against Arsenal and before that it was against Chelsea in EPL play and now they have the chance to continue their quest for the top four.
Crystal Palace is in the middle of the pack on the league table, while Liverpool is leading things ahead of the Blues and Chelsea is in second ahead of Manchester city with a few games left. The Reds and Chelsea play at Anfield in two weeks and that will be massive, while Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham are next in the standings over Man United. CP comes into the match after a win at home against Aston Villa and a win against Cardiff and they also won 1-0 before that against Chelsea and now they have not conceded a goal in three matches.
