The Heat come in after taking Game 1 and while that was closer than many expected, the team was able to get by and now James and company are looking to go up two games to nothing as they try and win the east for the fourth straight season. James and Miami were a bit fatigued at the end of the season and after getting some rest they have their playoff legs now and they matchup with the Bobcats in the first game on the schedule on Wednesday night.
LeBron James led the way for his team with 27 points in the first game and while the Bobcats played very well, they couldn't keep up and now they will try and pull another solid game on Wednesday. The Heat got 10 rebounds from Chris Andersen and five assists from Dwyane Wade and now they are looking to get a nice performance from Chris Bosh as well. The Heat come into the game after ranking fifth in the league in total defense this season and they will try and make sure this game isn't as close as the first one, as they would like to finish this series in four or five games if they can to help with rest.
The games on Tuesday were very exciting and saw the Pacers blow out the Atlanta Hawks after they lost game 1 and now that series will be tied up. The Heat and the Pacers appear to be on a collision course as the number one and two seeds in the east and that is something Indiana was gunning for all season. The team felt that they could have won over Miami in the east finals last year had they had the last two games at home and now they will have that chance if the two teams meet again. The Pacers were leading the conference all season until a late season slump, but they were able to come back to get the top seed.
The game on Tuesday night saw Paul George come back to earth and he scored 27 points, while Paul Millsap was the leading scorer for the Hawks with 19 and now the two teams play in Game 3 in Atlanta on Thursday and that matchup will be on NBATV. The Nets lost to the Toronto Raptors and now that series shifts to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for Game 3 and that is all tied up as well after DeMar DeRozan added 30 points for the Raptors. The Washington Wizards won over the Chicago Bulls and now they are up 2-0 and they clinched that after Kirk Hinrich missed his free throws at the end of overtime.
