Manchester United and Norwich City are playing on the English Premier League schedule on Saturday and the match at Old Trafford is on TV and with a live stream online from the NBC Sports Network website and it starts at 12:30 pm ET and comes as David Moyes was removed and Ryan Giggs took over and now Man U is looking to start a three-game home stretch at the end of the year on a high note.
Manchester United comes in after an away match against Everton and they lost that 2-0 and that resulted in the dismissal of David Moyes and now the Red Devils are looking for a new manager as Giggs comes on and Wayne Rooney is looking to put his team into next year on a positive stretch as they have four matches on schedule for the rest of the Barclays EPL season. The team plays against Norwich City on Saturday before matching up with Sunderland and then Hull City and both of those matchups will be at Old Trafford and then the team finishes against Southampton at Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium for the final match of the year.
Manchester United has had a very tough year and now Moyes is out after less than one season with the club after taking over for Sir Alex Ferguson and now they are out of qualifying position with the end of the season coming. Man U was matched up with Bayern Munich in the quarters of the Champions League and they lost that matchup and now they are in seventh position on the English Premier League table and are trailing behind Everton and Tottenham and they are now six points back of the Spurs and will not be able to get back into UCL qualifying this year.
Giggs has brought some intensity to the team and he wants the club to attack on Saturday and now he has the chance to finish the season with some strong play and the team may have been motivated to make the move with Moyes before this three game stretch at home against Man United. The loss of Robin Van Persie in the second half the season has been a tough blow and he will still be out on Saturday with a knee injury and Giggs is serving as a player-coach. Man United has 57 points in 34 matches played and they had a disappointing exit from the FA Cup earlier in the season and now they have the chance to at least erase some of the bad memories for the home crowd this season.
Norwich comes in after a loss at home against Liverpool and they play Man United before matches against Chelsea and Arsenal to end the season and they have the chance to play spoiler in the EPL. The rest of the schedule this weekend has Sunderland and Cardiff City playing at the Stadium of Light, while the big match is at 9:05 am ET and has Liverpool playing against Chelsea at Anfield and the last match of the day has Crystal Palace and Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
