Cameroon and Paraguay are playing an international friendly match for the World Cup in Brazil on Thursday and the game at 1 pm ET is streaming online and is live from Kufstein Arena as the two teams get ready for the major tournament and Samuel Eto'o is looking to get hot heading into the tourney and Cameroon is the only team in the match preparing to actually play in the Cup this year for 2014.
Cameroon is looking to forget their loss against Portugal for the first friendly of the year after World Cup qualifying, as they lost that match in bad fashion 5-1 and while they jumped back in their next game with a 2-0 win against Macedonia, it was not much of a challenge because of the nation they faced. Cameroon now has a matchup with Paraguay that should be a nice warm-up and then the team plays against Germany at Borussia-Park for their last match before the World Cup and that could be great since the German side is coming in with high expectations.
Cameroon will play against a Germany team that is preparing for the group of death, as they are in with the United States, Portugal and Ghana and many think that's the toughest draw for any group in the tournament. Cameroon comes in looking to perform well and they have a tough task in their group, as they are with Brazil, Mexico and Croatia in Group A and that means they play early. The team starts with Mexico at Estadio das Dunas and then plays against Croatia in their next match and that will be at Arena Amazonia. The final matchup comes against Brazil and that will be tough playing in the Nacional and the team is hoping they can advance out of the first stage.
Samuel Eto'o comes in as the biggest player for the team and he comes in after a solid season at Chelsea with nine goals in 21 Premier League games and three in Champions League play and now he is concentrating on the World Cup in Brazil. Cameroon won over Tunisia and Libya in qualifying and now they come in with a strong team and they are looking to make an impact at the Cup. Croatia boss Niko Kovac said the teams will be ready to play each other and that he has been keeping an eye on Cameroon, as they have a very strong team up front and they have a matchup with Germany coming.
Cameroon has the tough task of being in the group with the home nation in Brazil meaning they likely will have to duke it out with the two other teams for a spot in the next round, as officials will make sure Brazil gets through. Paraguay has had a busy schedule and they are playing against Cameroon before another big match with France on the friendly schedule and that comes after they played Costa Rica and lost in March.
