Mexico vs. Portugal Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming World Cup Friendly Match Soccer

Mexico and Portugal are playing live on the World Cup international friendly schedule on Friday night and the ESPN game on TV and online with a live stream from WatchESPN at 8:30 p.m ET and comes from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough and is the last big matchup before the teams play in Brazil and Cristiano Ronaldo will be out for this game as he tries to get fit for the tournament, which starts up on June 12 with Brazil playing Croatia.

Mexico comes into the match with tons of pressure, as they are without Luis Montes after he broke his leg and now they will try and win over Portugal, who will be playing without their best player as well in Ronaldo. Mexico did not score in the friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina and they are also in the World Cup and that was a big test and the team could not get a goal and they are hoping to get some positive vibes going from this matchup. Mexico striker Javier Hernandez will have to find a way to get things going and the Mexico team will need his work to be a success at the Cup.

Mexico comes into things in Group A and they have to deal with the home nation of Brazil along with Cameroon and Croatia and that will be a tough group to advance from. The Us team helped the Mexican side in qualifying, as they won over Panama to eliminate them and that allowed El Tri to get into the playoffs. Mexico won over New Zealand and now they are in, while Portugal is in a group with the US that everyone is calling the group of death. The group will be tough with Portugal, the United States, Ghana and Germany, one of the favorites in Brazil.

Mexico comes into the matchup without one of their best players after Luis Montes was knocked out after breaking his leg against Ecuador and El Tri will have to find a way to move on without him there. Portugal is coming in with some drama, as Cristiano Ronaldo is dealing with a leg injury stemming from the end of the season and he is in question for the start of the tournament and so is Luis Suarez, although he looks like he will be ready. Ronaldo has not played since the Champions League final with Real Madrid and he scored in that game to help his team win the championship and now he is in question for the Cup.

Things were hard enough hoping Ronaldo would be back for one of the friendlies and now he will be out of things and that could make things very tough if he returns for the first game. Ronaldo will be a bit off on his timing and fitness due to him being out of action and the fact that he only has a limited amount of time with his national teammates makes it more difficult as well. Ronaldo has pressure on him to play, as Portugal plays in the toughest group in the entire World Cup and the fact that he is one of the best players in the world only puts more weight on his shoulders.
