New York Rangers Radio Stream: Listen Online Streaming LA Kings NHL Playoffs Stanley Cup Game Live Overtime

The New York Rangers and Kings have Game 5 on Friday and the radio coverage is live from ESPN Radio with a live stream online and the call from Don La Greca at 8 pm ET as the NY Rangers try and survive the Stanley Cup finals down 3-1 against LA and it will be at Staples Center and could send the series back to Los Angeles for Game 6 on Monday night.

The Rangers are down and have very long odds, but they are still alive and the last time we checked, it takes four to win the Stanley Cup. New York would love to go back to LA one more time and the Kings are one team that will not count out the Rangers, as they came back from three games down against the San Jose Sharks and while the Rangers are not the Kings and LA is not San Jose, it is still in the realm of possibility.

The only thing for the Rangers to do now is to take things one game at a time and that is the best way to attack a potential sweep. The Rangers played well enough to leave Los Angeles with a split of those two games at the Staples Center but hockey is not always a kind game and that allowed the Kings to take a 2-0 lead and they never looked back from that and did not allow a goal in the game at the Garden.

The Kings were the better team coming into the series in the finals and they were outplayed over the first two games and still ended up winning both because they are the luckiest team on the face of the earth. The team did not have a lead in regulation in either of the two games and ended up winning both in overtime and the series totally changed on one horrible call that allowed a goal for the Kings and of course they made a comeback and beat the Rangers. It must be so easy to be a comeback team when the referees give away goals, but the Kings are also a very skilled team and they found ways to win and the Rangers could not and now the series is basically over.

The Rangers have the chance to save some respect by at least forcing the Kings to earn the championship and they are facing a sweep at home and with the series 3-0 the Cup will be in the Garden in Wednesday night. Marian Gaborik has been the leading goal scorer for the Kings and the Rangers need Ryan McDonagh to keep things going and they also need Brad Richards and Rick Nash to step things up.

The Rangers came into the series after winning over the Pittsburgh Penguins and they needed to make a comeback by winning three games in a row in that series and now they have to try and do that again for any chance at winning the Cup. The team played well enough in Game 3 to get a goal, but Jonathan quick was better and pitched a shutout. And now the team is in position to close.
