NY Rangers vs. LA Kings Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming NHL Finals Playoffs Overtime Game 5

Jun 13, 2014 07:40 PM EDT

The NY Rangers and LA Kings are playing live on the NHL schedule for the Stanley Cup finals in the playoffs and Game 5 is on TV from NBC and online with a live stream from the NBC Sports Network and it starts up at 8 pm and it could be the end of the series in Los Angeles, as the Kings are up 3-1 on New York after the Rangers finally got some luck and won the last matchup.

The Rangers finally had some luck on their side and they had two goals stopped right on the red line for the Kings and they made some great plays to keep that going and now they are in position to force a Game 6. The team got one stop after Jeff Carter whiffed on a shot near the red line and Anton Stralman came in out of nowhere and put the puck away with his stick. Later on the game took an amazing turn, with the Kings out shooting the Rangers 15-1 in the third period.

With just over a minute left, the puck went through Henrik Lundqvist and into the crease and as it slid towards the goal line it picked up shaved ice and stopped dead in its tracks. Derek Stepan made the heads up play to not cover it and swiped it back into Lundqvist and the ref was right there to see the legal play and the team was able to hang on.

The Rangers have been battling all through the playoffs and now they have the chance to make a comeback again and this one is nearly impossible to do. The Knicks did it once already this postseason and that adds to the long odds and with the way Jonathan Quick is playing, it will take a major effort to get it done. The Rangers won in seven games against the Flyers in the first round and then had to do it against the Penguins in the next round and they had to come back from 3-1 to win that series and now all they are doing is taking this one game at a time and if it somehow can get back to MSG, this is a real series and while the Kings got every break in the first three games, it's time for the luck to change.

The Rangers needed some help from the hockey gods, but it's nothing the Los Angeles Kings didn't get over the first two games and they can complain all they want about how they lost the game and the Rangers didn't win it, but at the end of the day the win went to New York. LA won two games they shouldn't have so really they should just stop whining, but that's what this team does and while yes they are very good, they don't play the game with respect and they did not give the Rangers any and continued to not do faceoffs right all night in MSG and maybe that karma came back on them a bit. The team totally dominated ion faceoffs, but that was mostly because they did not put their stick down first as the away team and now the Rangers have to find a way to win again.
