The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Calgary Stampeders are playing live on ESPN2 on the CFL Schedule on Friday night and the Canadian Football League will be streaming live online from WatchESPN as the teams matchup from McMahon Stadium and the crowd should be wild for the matchup and the Ticats are looking for this road trip to end, as they have started with three on the road.
The Tiger-Cats had a bye week and they lost their last game in a close matchup with the Edmonton Eskimos and they will be looking to get on the board with a win for the first time this season. The last 10 games between the two teams have seen the Cats win just two matchups and all-time they have 30 wins and 55 losses and last year the team lost all three games against the Stampeders. Calgary is good at home and they have won the last 10 against Hamilton when they are visiting the stadium.
Jeremiah Masoli is starting for Hamilton in this game with quarterback Zach Collaros injured and this is his first career start and it comes after he passed for over 100 yards and had a touchdown in relief when he went down. Masoli had some time in the preseason and he comes in after playing his college ball at Oregon and leading the team to some high scoring wins while playing in the Pac-10. Calgary comes in averaging 258 passing yards allowed per game this season and that will make it tough for Masoli and the Stampeders come in after a win against Toronto after getting the team to five field goals in the win.
Hamilton comes into the game looking for their first win of the season after going 0-2 to start and they have scored 34 points and allowed nearly 60 and they are trying to get out of the bottom of the east. Ottawa is playing now and they are being Toronto and Montreal in the east right now, as those teams have two points tied to lead the division standings. The west division has Edmonton leading with a 4-0 record and they have eight points to lead, while Calgary is 2-0 with four points, while Winnipeg is 3-1 with six points. BC and Saskatchewan both have 1-2 records and they are hanging in with two points each.
The top scoring team in the league is Winnipeg along with Edmonton and the Eskimos come in as the best team in the league with a 4-0 record and they have won two games at home and two away. Calgary has only allowed one touchdown this season and while it's just 120 minutes and two games, that is still pretty good to have on the shelf.
