NBA Season Schedule 2014: Christmas Day and Opening Night Games, LeBron James Return To Miami With Cavaliers

Aug 13, 2014 03:16 PM EDT

The NBA season schedule for the 2014-15 season is on its way out and many leaks and sources have reported on games, including the Christmas Day schedule, LeBron's return to Miami as well as the opening night schedule and the game when Kevin Love heads back to Minnesota for the first time following his trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Christmas Day slate has a number of big games, including the Los Angeles Lakers playing against the Chicago Bulls and that will reunite Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant. The other December 25 games include the Washington Wizards taking on the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden, while the Thunder will play against the San Antonio Spurs. The Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the Miami Heat as LeBron James comes back to South Beach.

The Miami Heat fans probably will boo James and that would solidify the idea that they are one of the worst fan bases in the entire league. The Golden State Warriors and the LA Clippers will have a California matchup and those are the five games on Christmas Day in the league. The Cavaliers and the Bulls will play in October a couple days after the season opens and some other matchups include the Mavericks and the Spurs playing on October 28 to open the schedule.

The Lakers have some other big games, including opening the season against the Houston Rockets and that will reunite the team with Dwight Howard, who never took to the franchise and basically wasted that trade. The Knicks and Bulls will open the season and LeBron James also will play with the Cavaliers against the Portland Trail Blazers.
