The NFL schedule for the 2014 regular season in Week 1 starts on Thursday and the TV channel for the first game is NBC as the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers play, while the start time on Sunday is at 1 pm ET as the AFC and NFC kick off the season with channel coverage from Fox, CBS, NBC and ESPN for Week One.
The first matchup of the season has the Seattle Seahawks taking on the Green Bay Packers and that will be from CenturyLink Field at 8:30 pm ET on NBC. The first game on Sunday starts with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons on Fox and that is part of the early slate of 1 of ET games when most of the league is playing. Minnesota and St. Louis open as the Vikings take on the Rams, while the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are playing an early division game in Pennsylvania. The Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Philadelphia Eagles for an AFC vs. NFC game and that is at 1 pm ET from Lincoln Financial Field.
The Oakland Raiders make the trip to play the NY Jets and that is always a tough trip and that is also a 1 pm ET game, while the Bengals and Ravens are playing in Baltimore for another AFC North matchup. The Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears play at 1 pm ET from Soldier Field and that is on FOX, while the Washington Redskins play against the Houston Texans on the road.
The Tennessee Titans open against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, while the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins play in Florida. The Carolina Panthers and Buccaneers play a divisional matchup, while the San Francisco 49ers play the Dallas Cowboys in Texas. The Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos are playing the night game on Sunday and that will be on NBC at 8:30 pm ET.
The Monday Night Football matchup is a doubleheader and that starts with the NY Giants taking on the Detroit Lions in Michigan. The second game starts up at 10:20 pm ET and has the San Diego Chargers visiting the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium for the final game of the week.
