MLB Standings 2014: Wild Card Leaders and Division Records AL and NL Playoffs

The MLB Standings are getting close as the wild card races and divisions in the AL and NL push towards the playoffs and the leaders and teams in contention include the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals, LA Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Seattle Mariners heading into September 12.

The AL East has the Baltimore Orioles basically in the playoffs already and they have the Yankees and the Blue Jays way back with a couple weeks left in the season. The AL Central battle is the closest in the American League with the Royals and the Tigers battling it out. The AL West has the Angels leading, while the Athletics and Mariners are trailing by quite a bit.

The NL East has the Washington Nationals leading by a wide margin, while the Cardinals are pulling away from the NL Central with the Pirates and Brewers chasing. The Dodgers are leading the NL West by two games over the Giants, while San Fran is in the wild card race.

The American League wild card is getting very close with the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers leading, while the Seattle Mariners are a half game back. The Blue Jays and the Indians are 3.5 games back and the Yankees are also hanging around. The National League has the San Francisco Giants leading the Pirates in the wild card race, while the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers are the next teams.
