Chiefs Rumors: Jamaal Charles Starts Fantasy Football Over Knile Davis As Travis Kelce Sleeper For Week 4 Against Patriots

The Kansas City Chiefs have Jamaal Charles as probable for Monday night football in Week 4 and fantasy football owners are looking forward to him getting the start over Knile Davis after missing time and one player for fantasy football owners to keep an eye on is tight end Travis Kelce, as he could be a major sleeper heading into Week 5 and he has matchup nightmare written all over him.

Charles has been dealing with an ankle injury and now with the extra rest this week, he appears ready to return and fantasy football owners are thrilled. The Chiefs have him officially listed as probable for the game and while he was limited in practice, he appears ready to go. Fantasy owners should not be afraid to start Charles and/or Davis on Monday, as Davis has been playing well and with Charles likely not 100 percent, he could steal a few carries.

Charles is the top overall drafted player in fantasy from this season and after leading the Chiefs in rushing and receiving last year, fantasy owners picked him first in most leagues. Charles being out was a big blow to the Chiefs and while Davis played well, the team is drying to have him back in the mix. The team had a tough game with Denver and now they could have a bit of a two headed monster thing going.

It looked like Charles might return last week, but Davis was excellent and showed that he could be a solid start option with 132 yards and a touchdown. Davis had his best day as a starter and while the Patriots are a tough matchup and Charles is coming back, if you don't have any better options, start Davis on Monday. Davis also averaged over four yards per carry in his last game and that bodes well for him moving forward even if he gets limited touches.

Fox Sports has reported that the Chiefs have put Davis in the game plan for Monday night and he will be getting some chances even with Charles coming back. There of course is always a chance that Charles re-aggravates the injury and if that happens, obviously Davis will get a longer look. Davis has been very solid this season and he has 214 yards rushing with three touchdowns and he also has been solid with seven receptions for 29 yards while averaging over four yards per catch.

Charles is officially listed as probable for the game and while he will not be 100 percent, he is going to get a full load from the Chiefs. Last season Charles was excellent with 1287 yards and 12 touchdowns and he also added 70 catches for 693 yards to lead the Chiefs. Kansas City needs that type of production back and they are hoping he picks up where he left off.
