Orlando Magic vs. Miami Heat Live Stream: Watch Online NBA Preseason Game

Oct 07, 2014 07:20 PM EDT

The Miami Heat and Orlando Magic are playing on the NBA preseason schedule on Tuesday and the game from AmericanAirlines Arena starts up at 7:30 pm ET and has the team playing without LeBron James for the first time as Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Luol Deng start a new chapter this season and they will battle a fellow Florida team for their first matchup.

Miami comes in after losing James, but they should still be one of the best teams in the east. The Heat brought back Wade and Chris Bosh and they also signed Deng, who was one of the best free agents on the market this summer. The team should be the favorites in their division, but they also have the upstart Washington Wizards to watch out for. The team was one of the best in the league last year and now they have to find a way to keep things going despite losing James.

Miami will have to adjust without James and Wade actually could be better off, as he had to drastically change the way he played while James was there. The team is ready for the challenge and with Mario Chalmers and others back apart from James, the roster is mostly intact. The Cavaliers are the favorites in the east with the Chicago Bulls, but there is no reason why the Miami Heat can't be in the mix at the end this year. James led the team in points, rebounds and assists per game this season, leaving Wade and others to pick things up this year and that could energize the team.

Miami comes in after having the fifth best defense by points allowed and even though the team is losing James, they should still be very good overall on defense. Deng is not the player that James is, but he is an all-around player and he should be able to make up for some of the areas that LeBron excelled in. Deng is an excellent defender and rebounder and he also is a very solid offensive player and that should open things up for Chris Bosh after three years of not playing like the Chris Bosh from the Raptors.

The Heat averaged over 100 points per game last season and they come in after losing to the Pelicans in their last matchup in the preseason. The team has LeBron James and his Cavaliers coming to HSBC Arena for a game next and that should get plenty of attention. The team has that matchup after playing against the Magic on Tuesday and that game will be on Saturday night and should have more eyes than usual for preseason action.

James is back in Cleveland and now Wade has the chance to take back his mantle as the main star on the Heat. Bosh should be much improved and Deng could end up as the best signing of the summer not named LeBron.
