The Thursday night football schedule for Week 7 has the New England Patriots and New York Jets matching up at Gillette Stadium and the AFC East game is on TV with a start time of 8:30 pm ET from the CBS channel and the game is also live from the NFL Network as Tom Brady matches up with Rex Ryan and Geno Smith in a huge game for NY, as they have lost five in a row.
The Patriots come into the game after winning over the Bills and taking down the Bengals over the last two weeks and now they have another divisional game. The Pats have been playing very well over the past couple weeks and they meet the Jets when they are reeling. The Jets have lost five straight games since winning against the Raiders in Week 1 and now they meet the division leaders.
The Jets are coming in after yet another loss this time against the Denver Broncos and now they could be at risk of going to 1-6 on the season. The Jets were confident after beating (a still winless team now) the Raiders and that was only by five points and since then they have seemingly played worse and worse. The team gave away a chance at a win against the Packers after calling a timeout at the wrong time and since then they have allowed 24 points or more in four straight games and they have not scored more than 19 and they also were shutout once.
The schedule lets up a little in the second half of the season, but by no means is it an easy schedule. The Jets have the Patriots and Bills next before a road trip to Kansas City, which is one of the toughest places to play in the NFL. After that the team plays against the Steelers at home before a bye week and then out of that they have three of the next four on the road. The team has the Bills, Dolphins, Vikings and Titans and then they finish the season with the Patriots at home and Miami on the road.
The Patriots have won four of the last five games and now they are starting to put some space in the division and they could basically end things for the Jets with a win. The team has three straight homes games with the Jets and Bears next and then the team hosts Peyton Manning and the Broncos heading into the bye week. Out of that the team has a playoff rematch with the Colts on Sunday night football.
