The Oakland Raiders are playing the Denver Broncos in Week 10 and some fantasy football start options include Darren McFadden, Andre Holmes, Mychal Rivera and James Jones for quarterback Derek Carr, as those names have the chance to step up over Maurice Jones-Drew and Denarius Moore for fantasy owners against Peyton Manning and the Broncos D.
The Raiders are looking for their first win of the season and while it's likely they will not get it against the Denver Broncos, fantasy owners have the chance to get some points anyway. The Broncos defense has been improved from last season, but if the score gets out of hand, the Raiders could air the ball out quite a bit and that could be big for Carr. The Raiders have not been a consistent team, but Carr has found a rhythm and he appears to be the real deal.
Darren McFadden hasn't been great, but he has stayed healthy for half the season and that is saying a lot for a back like him. McFadden has been much better than Maurice Jones-Drew and he is the top RB start option for the team. Andre Holmes and Mychal Rivera have emerged as young stars for the team and they could be worthy picks for this game as well. James Jones has been the steely veteran of the group and he is worth starting as well.
Andre Holmes has 25 catches for 400 yards and he has come on as a young option this season for Carr and he now has 10 catches in his last three games. Holmes has three touchdowns in the last four games and eh had a big game a few weeks ago against the Chargers with four catches for 121 yards and two scores. Rivera is another player to watch, as Carr and Rivera have put together some solid work the past few weeks and the TE could be one of the best sleepers in Week 10.
The Raiders saw McFadden touch the ball 17 times last week and he ended up with 67 total yards after being held in check rushing the ball. The Raiders have been giving McFadden touches and he rushed for 20 yards in the game last week and added four catches for 47 yards against the Seahawks. McFadden has been working well out of the backfield and he has 25 catches this season for 161 yards and he has 358 yards on the ground with two touchdowns in eight games. McFadden has never played in more than 13 games and that has been a goal for him this season.
McFadden's best season was back in 2010 and he had 1157 yards for his only 1K season and he also added 47 catches for 507 yards and now he is back on that receiving pace. Carr has been good enough and he now has 1711 yards and 11 TDs with seven interceptions and he has been solid while completing 60 percent of his passes. The team is 0-8, but that's not all on Carr and the team will be trying hard to pull the upset on Sunday. Jones-Drew has been a disappointment and he has just 54 yards on the ground this season in six games.
