The Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls are playing live on the NBA schedule on Monday and the game from the United Center is live at 8 pm ET and comes as the Bulls are 5-2 on the year and the eastern conference teams meet for a central division game with Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol, Greg Monroe, Josh Smith and Andre Drummond in action.
The Bulls come into the game as one of the top teams in the east this season and even with Derrick Rose in and out of the lineup, they have been off to a great start. Rose has been solid when he has played and Pau Gasol has been exactly what the team expected when they signed him in free agency this summer. The Bulls last lost to the Boston Celtics and they will next play on the road against the Toronto Raptors and they come into the game as one of the top offensive teams in the league.
The Bulls were ranked last in the league last season in points per game and they currently are sixth through the first month of the season and they are doing it with Derrick Rose limited. The Bulls have had to basically play for two years without Rose and they have adapted and this roster is one of the best suited for it and they actually have Rose back. Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson had to step up over the past two seasons, while the team added Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol in the offseason to help out.
Aaron Brooks was also signed in the offseason to be the backup for Rose and this comes after DJ Augustin was the step in last year. Brooks had 26 points and eight assists while Noah had 11 rebounds and the Bulls have shown they can without Rose on the court.
