The Oakland Raiders are still winless, but fantasy football owners can look to Mychal Rivera, Darren McFadden, Andre Holmes and James Jones as solid options for Derek Carr in Week 11 and the rest of the season, as they have performed better overall than Maurice Jones-Drew, Denarius Moore and Brice Butler this season and that could continue over the final weeks.
Rivers has stepped things up over the past couple weeks and he now has become the top target for Derek Carr and is a legitimate fantasy football starter. Rivera had 64 yards on six catches last week and a TD and now that makes three scores in the past two games for the TE. Darren McFadden has been playing well and he has stayed healthy this season, which is the first time he has done that in his career (but knock on wood, the team isn't over yet).
Rivera had an 18-yard TD against the Broncos on an impressive route and he now has put up some great numbers in the last three weeks, making at least six catches in those games. Rivera had eight catches for 73 yards a few weeks ago and had eight last week with two touchdowns before putting up six catches in eight targets this week. Rivera now has 34 catches on the season for 286 yards and three TDs and he is easily going to pass his numbers from last season. Rivera had 38 catches for just over 400 yards as a rookie and now he is a solid starter for fantasy owner's.
Rivera was inconsistent for the first half of the season and after making just one catch in Week 7, he has had least seven receptions in his past three games. Carr is targeting Rivera more than some of the receivers for the Raiders and that makes him worthy of picking up across all leagues. Carr has 1903 yards this season and while he has struggled at times, he has also put up some good performances and now has 13 TDs and just nine interceptions. Carr is completing over 60 percent of his passes and the raiders have been pleased with his play.
McFadden hasn't been great this season, but he has stayed on the field and that had been the biggest issue for him in his career. This season McFadden has 372 yards in nine games and he also has 29 catches for 183 yards and he has been much better than Maurice Jones-Drew, who has been a nonfactor in fantasy. McFadden has not played in more than 13 games in his entire career and he missed six last season with injures, rushing for just 379 yards, which he should pass this week.
Jones-Drew has not been good for the Raiders and he is one of the worst signings of the offseason. MJD has only 29 carries this season for 64 yards across seven games and he has basically been a non-entity fantasy wise. The Raiders have not used him much and he also has been injured a bit this season. The Raiders are winless and fantasy wise the best options for the team include McFadden and Rivera with James Jones and Andre Holmes solid options in deeper leagues.
