So, Chelsea have captured the Oscar! The Blues completed the signing of highly-rated Brazilian Oscar from Internacional, the club announced, while Spain right-back Cesar Azpilicueta admitted the Blues were interested in his signature. .

The 20-year-old moves to Stamford Bridge for a fee worth believed to be around £25 million ($38.7 million), and will join up with the squad after completing his duties for his country at the Olympics.

Oscar is considered one of the brightest talents in South America, and moves to a Chelsea team, already boasting of playmakers like Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Marko Marin.

The youngster's signing is considered as the latest acquisition that will help convert the European champions into one of the most attractive teams to watch.

"Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Oscar," a statement on the club's official website read.

"Oscar, full name Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior, who will be 21 in September, is a Brazilian international, who played for two clubs in his homeland prior to his move.

"He is currently part of Brazil's squad at the London Olympics. He played in the 2-0 win over Great Britain in the warm-up game last Friday."

Meanwhile, Chelsea went down 3-2 to an MLS All-stars team in a pre-season friendly in Philadelphia.

The All-Stars, who had the likes of Thierry Henry and David Beckham in their team, took the lead in a slightly subdued affair when Chris Wondolowski, the league's top scorer, netted after 20 minutes.

Two of Chelsea's veterans then gave the London club control. Captain John Terry's header brought the away team level before half-time, and when Frank Lampard capitalised on a goalkeeping error before the hour it looked as though Chelsea would kick on for a bigger win. However, the MLS All-Stars netted 18 minutes from time through substitute Chris Pontius.

From there, neither side really threatened, until former Fulham man Eddie Johnson scored off a deflected shot in the 90th minute.
