Spanish right-back Cesar Azpilicueta has admitted he is flattered by interest from Chelsea, after several reports linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Marseille man, who is a part of Spain's Olympic squad, revealed the Blues' interest, but said there were other clubs also keeping an eye on his progress.
"It is flattering when you have clubs such as Chelsea interested in you, but there are other clubs interested as well," the 22-year-old said.
Marseile sporting director Jose Anigo admitted the club could be forced to sell a couple of their players, to fund new signings. "Everybody has to sell before buying," he told RTL. "In effect, it could either be (Stephane) M'Bia and Azpi. But for now, nothing has changed."
Roberto Di Matteo is looking for a right-back, after letting Jose Bosingwa leave the club at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, the Italian manager hailed the signing of Brazilian international Oscar. "He is a fantastic player, one of the youngest to push through to the Brazilian national team and he will be a fantastic signing for us," Di Matteo is quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"Oscar is a very exciting young talent, a creative midfield player who scores goals. He will add a lot of options and solutions for us in midfield."
Oscar becomes Chelsea's fourth summer midfield acquisition after Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Kevin De Bruyne, all playmaking midfielders in the same mould. With last year's player of the year Juan Mata already in the books, Di Matteo will find it hard to accommodate all, although De Bruyne is closing in on a loan move.
"It will be a challenge to make sure we have the right balance within the team so we will have to see how we fit the team together with all the players," Di Matteo said.
"The club has always been competitive, looking to improve, get better and fight at the top end of the league so it will only give us a better chance in the Premier League."
De Bruyne is close to completing a move to German club Werder Bremen on a season-long loan deal. Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs confirmed they were trying to sign the young Belgian, who signed for Chelsea from Genk in January. "I can confirm that," Allofs told Kicker. "We are to work out a loan switch.
"We have had many discussions and some talks lately and I feel we are at an advanced level regarding this loan deal."
