The Cleveland Browns have Josh Gordon back and along with Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell he is the best fantasy football start option for the team in Week 13, as he had a big debut on Sunday and he could help open things up for Brian Hoyer as the Browns try and keep things going after a dramatic win over the Falcons.
The Browns are in playoff position with five games left in the season and getting Gordon back should be a huge boost for the team. Brian Hoyer did not have a great game on Sunday, but having Gordon sure made a difference and going forward he could be what propels the team into the postseason for the first time in many years. Fantasy owners should look at Gordon as a strong start option, while Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell now are the top running backs after Ben Tate was released.
Gordon played on nearly 70 percent of the snaps for the Browns and that is promising going forward, as he was expected to be on the field for 20-30 plays in his first game back. Gordon has explosive speed and he is the best player on the Browns offense and now he has the chance to pick up where he left off last season. Gordon led the league in receiving yards and set career highs across the board and now he gets the chance to come back down the stretch.
Gordon had eight catches for 120 yards in his first game back and he has the chance to be the new element in the offense, as no one has breakout speed like he does. Andrew Hawkins played well in his absence, but he is not the receiver that Gordon is. Hawkins and Hoyer had a nice connection ahead of Gordon's return, as Hawkins has 50 catches for 694 yards this season.
West and Crowell are strong options moving forward with Tate gone and right now it looks like Crowell has the hot hand. This season West has 470 yards rushing and three TDs and he comes in after rushing for 62 yards in the game against the Falcons. Crowell has 446 yards this season and seven TDs and he had fewer carries than West, but ended up in the end zone twice and had more yards with 88 in the game.
