The English Premier League table has Chelsea on top of the EPL standings heading into the weekend schedule and the team has a lead on Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham as the Barclays season gets closer to ending.
Chelsea has been leading the Premier League all season and they only have two defeats all year and they continued that with Manchester United on Saturday. The Blues have 76 points and are leading the table over Arsenal by 10 points for the moment. The Gunners have 20 wins this season and the second most goals and they have a one point lead on Manchester United.
Chelsea won over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and that came with a goal from Eden Hazard in the first half. Chelsea now has a considerable lead on the field and they are basically guaranteed for the Champions League again and they likely will win the league title as well. Man City plays West Ham on Sunday and Hull City plays against Liverpool on Tuesday after games this weekend in the FA Cup.
Arsenal will be playing on Wednesday and that is one to watch, as the Gunners are behind Chelsea and could close things with a strong run at the end. The two teams play coming up next on the schedule and that will be on the road at the Emirates.
Manchester City is in fourth place after the tough run they have had over the second half and they are up one point on Liverpool coming into Saturday. Southampton is back one points from the Reds and they lead Tottenham by two points. All of those teams have the chance to make a push into the top four at the end, but they will need some help to get that done.
The Spurs are seventh in the league standings and they have a considerable lead over Swansea City in eighth place. Stoke City and West Ham come in next on the standings list and they are ahead of Crystal Palace and Everton on the table. West Brom and Newcastle are next, while Aston Villa and Sunderland follow in the standings.
Sunderland and Hull City are next on the EPL table, while Leicester City, QPR and Burnley are the bottom three teams. Chelsea looks like a lock to win the EPL this year and the win here was bit with Arsenal coming up next.
