The stakes can't get any higher today as the Cincinnati Reds host the San Francisco Giants in the final game of their NLDS matchup. First pitch is a little after 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT and we have the live stream for the action.
The Giants have woken up and taken the last two games at Great American Ball Park. The Reds, once upon a time, controlled the series 2-0, but have struggled recently against Giants pitching.
The Reds have outscored the Giants 15-12 in the series, but they pulled all the stops in Game 3 as it went into extra inning and clawed back into the series, to make it 2-1.
Yesterday, Kung Fu Panda, Pablo Sandoval rocked Reds pitching going 3-4 as he was a triple away from the cycle. He finished with a home run and three RBI in the game being a major catalyst in the Giants' victory as they pulled even in the best of five series.
Today, Thursday, we get a rematch of Game 1.
No Reds' fans, unfortunately, Johnny Cueto was removed from the starting rotation until the ALCS (if you guys make it that far), with a bad oblique.
The always ready Mat Latos will take the mound against Matt Cain.
The Giants' hurler has already played in pressure situations having participated in the 2010 World Series, however, he does not have the clear advantage.
Mat Latos made a spot start in Game 1 follow Cueto's injury and helped the Reds win the game.
