Juventus enters Tuesday's Champions League contest against FC Nordsjælland looking for their first win in two matches.
The team has played well against their opponents thus far in the group, playing to a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in September and 1-1 with Shakhtar Donetsk on Oct. 2, but has yet to earn an outright win.
''After two draws we have to win,'' Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio said on the club's official website. ''This is a crucial game for us and we cannot make mistakes.''
The Italian squad has not lost in 47 league matches and has played to draws in the last four matches on the road.
"I have plenty of experience and a good feeling, so I am not worried that Antonio Conte is not here for this match. We have respect for FC Nordsjælland, but we acknowledge that we are the favourites and have a good chance to pick up three points," said Angelo Alessio, Juventus assistant manager. "Chelsea scored three of their four goals here very late in the match, so we know it is not going to be easy for us. Nordsjælland have been playing some fine football."
The match will be from Gelsenkirchen in Germany and features a Juventus team that has drawn eight matches in a row against European opponents, according to Yahoo Sports.
The Italian club will have captain Gianluigi Buffon back for the match, although both Kwadwo Asamoah and Stephan Lichtsteiner will miss the match with injuries.
Juventus has played extremely well in Serie A matches, leading the league after earning 22 out of a potential 24 points in their matches.
'In the Champions League there are never any easy games,'' Marchisio said. ''If Nordsjaelland reached the group stage it's because they deserved it. We'll have to be careful, we will face a team that play good football and have good players.''
Nordsjælland lost both of its matches, losing the first against Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 and getting shut out 4-0 against Chelsea on Oct. 5.
According to Yahoo: "Nordsjælland have conceded six goals so far, a joint-high in the Champions League this season along with Spartak Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg."
Nordsjælland is hoping to give a good showing against Juventus after getting outscored by six goals in two games. The club has yet to score in the Champions League this season and is coming off a dominant defeat by Chelsea. The team has yet to earn any points, while Juventus has won two.
''They are one of Europe's strongest teams,'' said sporting director Jan Laursen on the club's official website. ''Juventus are currently top of their league, so it is like it was against Chelsea, a test at the highest level.''
It will be the third Champions League match for both clubs.
