Detroit is going to bring interesting weather conditions to Game 3 of the World Series as the Tigers host the San Francisco Giants
Do not worry, it will not be anything like a week before the first game of the season in St. Louis in 2011 as seen in this video clip from youtube.com.
However, don't be surprised to see the player's breath as the weather conditions are more favorable for a football game than a baseball game.
How cold is it going to be?
The weather forecast has a low of 38 degrees Fahrenheit in the city of Detroit tonight. There will be wind blowing north between 10-15 miles an hour.
Definitely not preferable baseball weather.
Ryan Vogelsong and Anibal Sanchez will make their first career World Series starts. So you better believe the cold weather is just an afterthought. These guys will probably have adrenaline pumping through their veins to spare.
Vogelsong has experience pitching in these conditions, but it was over a year ago when he threw his first career shutout in Chicago with rain and sleet falling.
For Sanchez, the same could not be said.
He played for the Marlins before becoming a Tiger and was traded when the weather was fair in Detroit.
The Giants' pitching has held the Tiger roaring lineup to purrs as they have only allowed two runs in the first two games of the series. The weather will definitely have both clubs saying "Brrrr."
Let's see if they can battle the cold as either the Giants will have the dominant 3-0 lead or the Tigers will be a game from tying the series at 2-2.
First pitch is schedule at around 8:07 p.m. ET.
Oh, by the way, Vogelsong said he will pitch in short sleeves.
