Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Nelson Agholor Out Week 7? Kiko Alonso Practicing, Sam Bradford Works Turnover Issues

The Philadelphia Eagles may be without Nelson Agholor again in Week 7 and if he is injured and misses the game on Sunday, Jordan Matthews will be the best fantasy football start option for Sam Bradford. Chip Kelly is trying to work on cutting down turnovers heading into this week and this comes as linebacker Kiko Alonso has been able to return to practice.

The Eagles are coming into Week 7 after a big win against the Giants and the team is now 3-3 and leading the NFC East division. The team started the season 1-3 and now has some momentum heading into the game against the undefeated Carolina Panthers. Chip Kelly and the Eagles offense has been up and down to start the season, but DeMarco Murray is starting to get into a rhythm and one of the main concerns for the head coach now is trying to cut down on turnovers.

Last week Sam Bradford threw three interceptions and he already has 10 total turnovers this season in just six games. Overall Bradford has put up solid numbers with nine touchdowns and 1561 yards while completing 63 percent of his passes (which will be a career high if it holds), but he has been turning the ball over too much for Kelly's liking. According to Pro Football Talk, Kelly said to The News Journal that the turnovers are "frustrating" but that the team has "full confidence" in Bradford at the quarterback. Kelly said that he has not considered making a change at the position six weeks into the season.

The Eagles offense could be without Agholor for another week, as Bob Grotz at the Delco Times reports that Agholor did not practice on Thursday. Agholor is dealing with an ankle injury and he has not been able to practice over the past two weeks. Agholor injured his ankle against the Saints and if he is out again, expect more targets to go to Jordan Matthews. Matthews is a solid fantasy option with Riley Cooper also coming in banged up and this season he has 36 catches for 384 yards and one touchdown in six games.

The Eagles could get linebacker Kiko Alonso back at some point this season, as Pro Football Talk reports that Alonso has returned to practice. Alonso was able to practice on Wednesday and this comes after the linebacker was injured in Week 2. The Eagles feared that Alonso tore his ACL for the second time, but after more testing doctors found that the ACL did not tear.

The Eagles expect Alonso to be back at some point this season and the team will "test the waters" with him in practice. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis said that "I don't really anticipate" having Alonso on the field this week, but his return could come over the next month or so.
