World Series Schedule: Kansas City Royals vs. NY Mets Game 1 Tuesday, Live TV Coverage On Fox

Oct 26, 2015 06:31 PM EDT

The World Series 2015 schedule is set and the first game between the Kansas City Royals and NY Mets is on Tuesday from Kauffman Stadium. The TV coverage for the series is from Fox and Game 1 has Matt Harvey on the mound against Edinson Volquez.

The Royals and Mets are both looking to win titles for the first time in decades and the Mets come in after sweeping the Cubs, while Kansas City won over the Blue Jays in the Champions Series. The first game of the series starts at 8 pm ET from Kansas City and that will kick off the championship battle between these teams. The TV coverage has Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci on the broadcast for Fox.

The starters are set now for both teams and in Game 2 the Mets will have Jacob deGrom on the mound against Johnny Cueto for the Royals. Cueto was knocked around a bit in his last start, while the Mets pushed deGrom into Game 2 since he has pitched more innings this season than he has in his career up to this point. The second game is on Wednesday and then there will be a break for travel to New York.

The Royals are hosting the first two games of the series and that is because the American League won the All-Star game. The three game set at Citi Field starts Friday, October 30 and depending on how the first two games go, not all the games could end up necessary. The Mets host Game 3 and that has Noah Syndergaard against Yordano Ventura. The matchup starts at 8 pm ET and is on FOX.

Game 5 of the series comes on Halloween and that will have Steven Matz against Chris Young. Game 6 will shift back to Kansas City and then Game 7 will be on Wednesday, November 4 if necessary. The starters for Game 5 and on are not official, but Harvey could get back on the mound again for that matchup after he starts Game 1.
