The NFL schedule for Week 9 has some notable players on the injury report, including Percy Harvin, Matt Forte, Willie Snead, Vincent Jackson, Sammy Watkins, Ronnie Hillman, Brandon Marshall, Allen Hurns, DeSean Jackson, TY Hilton, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Martavis Bryant coming into the weekend. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on the final injury reports from teams to see who to start and sit for the weekend.
The Buffalo Bills have been dealing with a number of injuries and Percy Harvin remains out for the team and will not be playing in Week 9. The team also has Sammy Watkins and Karlos Williams banged up, but they are expected to play this weekend. Tyrod Taylor is hopeful that he can return and Rex Ryan said that while Watkins was limited in practice, there is some hope that he can play on Sunday. Williams had been dealing with a concussion and he has been cleared and should play Sunday.
Matt Forte injured his knee last week and he could be out for a couple games, according to ESPN. John Fox said that Forte is "truly day to day" and while there is a chance he could come back sooner than two weeks, the team likely will be cautious with him. Jeremy Langford came in and took over when Forte went down last week and he is expected to start on Monday against the Chargers. Forte is dealing with an MCL sprain.
The Buccaneers are dealing with injuries to Vincent Jackson and Austin Seferian-Jenkins and both players could be out this week. Jackson is dealing with a knee injury and he was not able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday and he likely will miss another game. Jackson was out last week, while Jenkins has been dealing with a shoulder injury and has not played since Week 2. Jenkins said that he will wait until he is 100 percent before returning for the Bucs.
Ronnie Hillman has been the most consistent running back option for the Denver Broncos, but he was limited in practice this week. Hillman is still expected to start despite the status, as Gary Kubiak said he is coming into Week 9 as the starter. The Broncos could evaluate Hillman on Sunday and see if he is still injured, but fantasy owners should feel comfortable starting Hillman. CJ Anderson has been a disappointment and the team likely will have Hillman as the lead back if he is active.
Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker are coming into the week banged up for the Jets, but both players are expected to play on Sunday. Marshall was limited in practice on Thursday after being out Wednesday and he comes in dealing with toe and ankle injuries. Decker has been out of practice and while he has not participated this week, he still could play on Sunday.
DeSean Jackson is set to return for the Redskins and he comes in after being limited in practice on Thursday. Jackson said on Monday he had the green light to play and the team may evaluate him ahead of Sunday to see how his hamstring is before putting him back on the field. The limited status Thursday means owners should keep an eye on the situation. TY Hilton is coming in with a foot injury and NFL.com reports that a decision has not been made on whether or not he will play. Hilton is considered to be a game time decision.
