The Indianapolis Colts could be without TY Hilton for Week 9 against the Broncos, as the wide receiver is dealing with a foot injury was not able to practice. Hilton is questionable and if he is out or limited, players like Donte Moncrief, Andre Johnson and Frank Gore will get a boost on offense for Andrew Luck.
The Colts come into the game looking to get things back on track and this could be a crucial week for the franchise. The team just fired offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton and there is a chance Chuck Pagano could be fired soon if things do not start going in a positive direction. Luck has been injured and has been inconsistent this season and he has been turning the ball over at an alarming rate. The schedule doesn't get any easier with the Broncos on Sunday and the Colts are hoping that Hilton can be on the field for the game.
According to Pro Football Talk, Hilton is listed as questionable for the game on Sunday and he missed practice on Friday. The Indianapolis Star reports that Hilton is wearing a boot on his foot and he has not participated in practice at all this week. Head coach Chuck Pagano said that Hilton was able to run on a treadmill this week and that could be a good sign that he at least will try and play on Sunday. Hilton could be limited if he plays and fantasy owners should take that into consideration.
Hilton is having a solid season with 38 catches for 621 yards and three touchdowns, but his numbers have taken a hit compared to last season. Hilton had a career best 1345 yards with 82 catches and seven touchdowns and this season he has been limited a bit based on how Luck has played. Donte Moncrief, Andre Johnson and Griff Whalen line up as the top WR options for the Colts if Hilton can't go on Sunday.
Luck has been dealing with shoulder and rib injuries this season and according to a report from Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, Luck is "fully healthy" now heading into Week 9. There was a bit of controversy regarding the Colts and putting Luck on the injury report regarding his ribs, but either way the Colts need to get back on track or there could be some major changes to the coaching staff and front office. Moncrief and Johnson are fantasy options if Hilton can't go and Gore could see extra work if Hilton is out.
