The NBA standings heading into the middle of November has the Golden State Warriors leading the league undefeated at 6-0, while the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors are the other division leaders. The Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls and Wizards have also been off to solid starts.
The Warriors have picked up right where they left off last season and they head into the weekend schedule with a 6-0 record. The team has been outscoring opponents by a double digit average and Stephen Curry has put up the most points through six games since Michael Jordan. The Warriors have the look of a team that is ready to try and win another title and they are currently the only undefeated team left in the league (as of November 7).
The Warriors are leading the overall standings, while the Atlanta Hawks are 6-1 this season ahead of the Cavaliers and Raptors, who are each 5-1. The Los Angeles Clippers and Detroit Pistons have started the season 4-1, while the Blazers and Bulls are 4-2 to open things up. The Spurs are 3-2 along with the Jazz and Wizards, while a heap of teams come into Saturday at 3-3, including the Rockets, Thunder, Pacers, Suns, Bucks, Miami Heat and Grizzlies.
The Mavericks are 2-3 this season, while the Hornets, Knicks, Nuggets and Orlando Magic are 2-4. The Lakers got their first win against the Nets and now are 1-4, while the Kings are 1-5 this season. The Nets, Pelicans and 76ers are all winless this season, with Brooklyn at 0-6 and both Philly and New Orleans at 0-5.
The Eastern conference has the Raptors leading the Atlantic division over the Celtics and Knicks, while the Nets and Sixers are in the bottom of the standings. The central has been competitive with Cleveland leading at 5-1 over the Pistons and Bulls, while the Pacers and Bucks are both at .500 in the standings. The Hawks lead the southeast division over the Wizards, Heat, Hornets and Magic.
The Western conference has the Golden State Warriors leading the Pacific division and they are in ahead of the Clippers, Suns, Lakers and Kings. The Blazers are leading the northwest over the Jazz, Thunder, Wolves and Nuggets, while the Spurs lead the southwest over the Rockets, Grizzlies Mavericks and Pelicans. Last season the entire southwest division made the playoffs but the Pelicans are 0-5 to start this season
